The glide that rounds at the end
aʊ opens on ah and glides toward oo, your lips rounding as the sound finishes — say house and down slowly and feel that rounding arrive late, not at the start. This table gives you endings from crowd to south to practice the same glide over and over. The t row — about, out, doubt — is a useful starting point, since it's short and forces you to finish the glide fully before the crisp final consonant.
Endings to lean into
Nasal n, as in down and brown, colors the vowel a little on the way through — listen for it against a plain ending like the d in loud. The ch row is a good stress test: couch, ouch, and pouch all need the full glide finished before that final consonant lands, so don't rush it. Say each row at half speed first, then bring it back to normal pace.
